These port coloured socks would look spot on for a day out at Cartmel Races or perhaps Sunday drinks at the Whalley Wine Shop.
These socks were inspired by an old and dusty, but charming, port coloured British train, located in Sri Lanka.
Standing on a over crowded train for nearly 2 days in hot temperatures doesn't sound that appealing, unless it's the Colombo to Nuwara Eliya train heading up to the Sri Lankan hills, better known as "Tea Country".
Marv made the long trip up to Tea Country on his Asian shoe adventure and it was a journey best remembered for a refreshing lack of health and safety. Due to over crowding most passengers choose to hang out the side of the port coloured train, a very risky but very refreshing experience.

Every single LANX sock is entirely Made in England, from the design to the manufacture. The cotton is dyed in Blackburn (Lancashire), it is then spun using traditional techniques that have stood the test of time. Our socks are then hand linked and finished in small family run factory in Leicestershire, which was established in 1895 and is run today by 4th generation descendants. There ain’t nothing these folk don’t know about making Proper Socks. Each of our socks has a seamless toe, making them superlatively comfortable as well as more durable. Each sock design is inspired by a memory from our adventures.
