OUR LANCASHIRE LION | LANX SIGN WILL GREENWOOD AS FIRST BRAND AMBASSADOR

OUR LANCASHIRE LION | LANX SIGN WILL GREENWOOD AS FIRST BRAND AMBASSADOR

SOLD OUT

The limited-edition Greenwood '97 Jersey has now sold out. Fear not, you can still shop our full range of made in England rugby shirts below.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with Will Greenwood, an England rugby icon and Lancashire lad who is now officially part of the LANX family as brand ambassador.

LANX was built on craftsmanship, character, and community, and Will Greenwood embodies all three. He’s a man who’s faced the toughest opposition in world rugby, stayed grounded, and never forgotten where he came from.

Will Greenwood:
“I’m excited to be an ambassador for LANX: a brand with big ambition, and a real connection to the rugby world. There’s something special about working with a team that values quality, and I’m looking forward to what we’ll build together over the coming seasons.”

Marv, LANX Founder, adds:
“Bringing Will Greenwood on board as a LANX Brand Ambassador is a proud milestone for the brand. He’s a true legend of the game, with roots that run close to home. Will’s achievements on the pitch speak for themselves, and having someone of his calibre represent LANX helps solidify our growing presence within the rugby community. It’s a partnership built on shared values and local pride.”

PROPER PEDIGREE

William John Heaton Greenwood was born in Lancashire in 1972 and grew up just down the road from LANX HQ in Hurst Green. He started out at Stonyhurst and moved on to Sedbergh, quickly making a name for himself on both the cricket pitch and rugby field.

Will kicked off his rugby career at Preston Grasshoppers, then stepped up to Harlequins and Leicester Tigers, two clubs we’re proud to call LANX partners today. He went on to be awarded 55 caps for England, and was part of England’s 2003 World Cup-winning squad.

He also played in three British & Irish Lions tours, including the iconic tour of 1997. That team, that victory, and that shirt still carry cult status today. Look out for our nod to the iconic 1997 Lions shirt, launching 27.05.25.

Here’s a stat for the die-hards: England never lost a game in which Will scored. That’s 31 tries, all ending in victory. He’s also the second-highest international try scorer in the centre position, sitting just behind Brian O’Driscoll.

While we’ll forgive him for supporting Manchester City, there’s no denying the numbers: Greenwood is one of England’s greatest.

BUILT ON SHARED VALUES

Will is one of the most decorated players in English rugby history, but also a very down-to-earth bloke who grew up just down the road from LANX HQ in Hurst Green. His mum, Sue, even taught our founder, Marv, maths at school.

This is a connection that runs deeper than just a passion for rugby. It’s a meeting of minds, stitched together by shared heritage and a deep respect for doing things the right way.

Welcome to the LANX family, Will.
