Introducing the Women’s Craftsman Collection: three brand-new boots, all made in England, all Goodyear Welted, all LANX through and through. A real landmark in our journey to creating proper footwear for women.
These are proper boots, crafted using time-honoured methods, rugged and refined in equal measure. Each style is made using characterful leather from Charles F Stead in Leeds, and set on lightweight, ultra-durable Vibram Vi-Lite soles.

Following on from the ‘In The Making’ campaign that launched in October, we bring you ‘In The Making Vol.2’ which showcases the women’s collection. It’s about more than boots, it’s about where we are a brand, eight years in, still learning, still evolving, still putting in the miles.
MEET THE LINE-UP
IRWELL:
A sleek and versatile toe-cap derby boot, Irwell’s a go-anywhere kind of style. Smart enough for work, solid enough for weekend wanders.
NEWCHURCH:
A classic brogue derby boot with extra structure and presence. Similar to Irwell, but with classic brogue details to elevate, it’s built for those who want their footwear to do the talking.
FALLBARN:
A stylish, low-cut Chelsea boot with clean lines and character. Elastic side panels for easy wear, and a streamlined shape that flatters any outfit.
All three arrive in our signature leather: Caramel, a deep burgundy-brown that’s full of natural variation and characterful charm. It’s classy, it’s distinctive, and it’s the kind of leather that wears its adventures.
LEATHERS WITH CHARACTER
Great boots deserve great leather, so we’ve partnered once again with Charles F. Stead, the legendary tannery in Leeds, Yorkshire. Steads have been with us since the early days, and if you know their work, you’ll know why. Their leathers are unmistakable: raw, authentic, and full of personality.
For this collection, we’ve chosen our favourite Caramel leather. We choose to use oiled shoulders as it’s the part of the hide with the most natural character. Over time, they only get better: scuff them, crease them, wear them hard, they’ll tell your story. Alongside these, we’re using waxy commander suedes; heavily waxed, rugged suedes that are as tough as they are wearable.
Here are the four key leathers that shape the range:
Caramel – our signature LANX leather, an oiled shoulder packed with personality, made only for LANX footwear.
Walnut – new to the family, rich in depth and character, is a deep chocolatey brown waxy commander, heavily waxed to make it durable.
Black - a signature leather found across many collections now. The oiled shoulder makes this black stand out from the crowd.
A BIG STEP FOR LANX WOMENSWEAR
We launched our first women’s boots a few years ago. Since then, we’ve been refining fits, experimenting with leathers, and gradually building a range that holds its own. These new Goodyear Welted styles take things up a notch.
This is more than a product launch. It’s a milestone. Made with pride. Built to last. Designed to get worn. We’re proud to be flying the flag for British footwear, now on both sides of the shoe rack.
