Who Are Charles F Stead?
Founded in 1895, Charles F Stead is known worldwide for its top-quality, Made In England leather. Based in Leeds, their tannery produces some of the finest suedes and leathers available.
We’ve worked closely with Steads to create a collection that combines heritage materials with our best selling silhouettes. Whether you’re after boots or sneakers, each pair is packed with character. From our Garstang Caramel to Tasker Stone, they’re a result of top craftsmanship and a century of expertise.
World Renowned Leather
One of the highlights of this collection is Roughout leather - the true beauty of this leather comes from its irregular finish as it uses the textured underside of the hide. This raw finish makes it tough, durable, and built to handle more than a few scuffs.
Bronze Brown Rough Mohawk Waxed, a unique suede that is the epitome of rough and rugged.
Teak Mohawk Waxy Smooth makes a feature of the natural textures and is finished with a natural blend of waxes.
The more you wear these boots, the more the nap gets disturbed and adds to the distressed look. No two pairs look the same, making each shoe unique.
What’s New?
Some of your favourite LANX styles (Tasker, Garstang, Ancoats and Dutton) have been updated with these two new Made-In-England leathers. The Dutton, our classic derby boot, now comes with a Dainite Logger sole, ideal for handling the 'unpredictable' British weather.
