I have recently bought the Colne, Whitewell and Chipping shoes and they really are 'proper shoes'! Lovely quality, I am so happy with them and would highly recommend. The sizing varies between different styles but the customer service team were really helpful.

I already have 3 pairs of Lanx boots, but this is the first pair of shoes I've purchased. I had a half size larger than I normally take and they fitted really well. I've worn them a few times now - they look great and they're broken in and are definitely my go-to shoes! Thanks Lanx!

These are good looking , sturdy shoes that will last for years.
They are quite heavy and rather stiff and need to be worn in. I find that the heel slips a little which I hope will improve with wear. Some padding around the heel might help this. They are quite narrow I ordered a half size larger than usual and they fit perfectly.
I can wear them all day with socks.

Very impressed with the quality of my Colne shoes. I ordered half a size larger than normal and they fit well and were comfortable right out of the box. Just right for the rough country lane where I live.

It's been an interesting exercise. I ordered a 5.5 and a 6.0 based on reviews that the shoes were coming up on the large size. In the end, I found the 5.0 perfect for me (I am a size 5). I also ended up with the darker version of these shoes. I am loving them. They are comfortable and (not unimportant), I feel stylish wearing them. Most likely to buy a pair of loafers next summer!
