The Mellor Stone is a high grade leather hiker boot and is part of our Men's Charles F Stead range. This grey lace to toe hiker boot is built on our LX-T last and is made with a Blake Stitched construction.

Upper : Waxy Commander suede supplied by Charles F. Stead. The leather is 1.6mm - 1.8mm, which has a very rugged, distressed character. The nature of this leather means it marks easily, however we believe this ads further charm to the boots over time. Waxy Commander is relatively easy to look after, please read our shoe care notes. Steads have used their original tannage which is designed to shrink the fibre structure by up to 25%. This creates a unique appearance after impregnation with their own blend of waxes. The tight fibre structure prevents any stretching over the toe. Steads traditional rich dyeings work with the waxes during wear to produce a wonderful combination of natural texture and colour. Fully waterproof and Gore-Tex compatible.

This style is built on LX-T shoe last.

The feedback from our customers on this style is that they fit a little spacious, with most reporting they purchased a half or full size down. In industry terms this style has a men’s G fitting. If you're unsure about which size is best for you, we suggest buying two pairs in different sizes and return the shoes you don't wish to keep using our very simple returns service.
