Upper : Heavily waxed Suede Leather 1.6mm - 1.8mm Waxy Commander supplied by Charles F Stead. has a very rugged, distressed character. The nature of this leather means it marks easily, however we believe this adds further charm to the boots over time. Waxy Commander is relatively easy to look after, please read our shoe care notes. Steads have used their original tannage which is designed to shrink the fibre structure by up to 25%. This creates a unique appearance after impregnation with their own blend of waxes. The tight fibre structure prevents any stretching over the toe. Steads traditional rich dyeings work with the waxes during wear to produce a wonderful combination of natural texture and colour.

The feedback from our customers on this style is that it fits close to true, with some reporting they purchased a half size down. In industry terms this style has a men’s G fitting.
